In episode 4 of our MES info series, we will show you how you can achieve realistic, resource-optimized machine occupancy planning by using real-time data and integrating maintenance and repairs.

Proper planning of machine occupancy is immensely important for efficiency and productivity. A lot can be planned on paper. But the best planning only works if real-time factors are taken into account.

In daily business, these real-time factors are, for example

  • Delays due to repairs or problems with materials
  • Maintenance and servicing, whether planned or unplanned

The digital factory takes these factors into account. Thanks to the direct connection to the machines, the detailed planning of machine occupancy always takes into account the real-time data directly from production. This means that if the machine stops, for example in the event of a tool breakage, the planning adjusts automatically and reliably reschedules follow-up orders. Pre-defined maintenance and repairs are also taken into account and scheduled correctly.

Find out how this all works with our MES Software EMC and how you can make your machine occupancy planning more realistic by incorporating real-time data and maintenance in the 4th episode of our MES info series.
